Love that you posted the pic from The Lineup, possibly my favorite Wallach performance. "He pushed me too far!" feels like an iconic Wallach moment in a career full of them. Great talent, will be much missed.

It's almost as if you could include stills from ALL of his films in this series. How 'bout the gleam in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, or in The Ghost Writer...

I know this wasn't his last role, but for me, it was an inspired bit of casting and a tribute, of sorts. The fact of Mr Wallach's professional longevity presents a perfect parallel to what his character potentially represents in the context of that film and is used, I think, to imbue the character with undefined import.
