it was hard to tell from the trailer whether win-win was going to work or be a cliche-saddled fumble or not. glad to hear such a positive take on it

Although I liked WIN-WIN a lot (no surprise, since I loved THE STATION AGENT and THE VISITOR; this one isn't quite in the class of either of them, but it's very well done), the shocker was how much I enjoyed THE LINCOLN LAWYER. Yes, it does soup things up a little too often, and yes, it's predictable even if you haven't read Michael Connelly's novel, but I found it to be a loose and enjoyable genre film, and it was nice to see Matthew McConaughey give a good performance again.
