So. I know I promised a contribution to the wonderful Film Preservation Blogathon hosted by The Self-Styled Siren and Ferdy on FIlm. I kind of like to think that everything I post on this blog is somehow related to film preservation, but I wanted to do something particularly special. Except I didn't know what. Then I had an idea, one that would not just involve me sucking a thumb while inputting with another, but would entail actual work, like conducting an interview and taking notes and transcribing and such. So I scheduled said interview, and even though it was pretty close to the deadline (the blogathon concludes today) I thought I could handle it. But. My subject was indisposed at the appointed time yesterday, and once he was finished with being indisposed I became indisposed, and the interview just couldn't happen. It may happen in the near future, for a post that would not be part of this blogathon, but that would be fine, as I think everything I post on this blog is somehow related to...and now I've come full circle. How meta of me.
Which leaves me with a promise to post and nothing to post about. So I do what I usually do in such situations, and punt. No, wait, I don't punt. I write haikus.

So give what you can! You can do so here.
Thanks so much Glenn. I completely understand how times slips away; one of my own posts hasn't happened yet and may have trouble slipping under the wire. I hope that you still do the interview, and hey, the NFPF needs donations even when we aren't blogathoning, so you can always attach a link at that time too.
One small note - ufortunately, the NFPF link above doesn't seem to work for me, although it could be my terminally lousy browser.

@ Siren: Thanks for pointing that out. Slight coding problem; link is now fixed.

Glenn: These things happen. At least you participated and I thought that was a good haiku.
