Here she is, glugging away in Sirk's 1958 The Tarnished Angels. Maybe she's having a presentiment that thirty years or so from this point, she'll be in Basic Instinct.

Glenn, your DVD reviews are a fiscal menace. The last time we went to Paris you cost me more than 100 euros. I spent all day yesterday avoiding your DVD releases of the year post. And now you torment me with Sirk!

It's interesting that Billy Gray discussed his working with Sirk. I wonder if he saw the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still"?
As for "Interlude", that's one of the few Universal Sirk films I haven't seen. I suspect the production was troubled from the start simply because they could not film Cain's book as written, with the gay relationship,
