"Dead People Are irritating", Slate:
Joe Six Pack's inability to get Ricky Gervais makes me ashamed to be an American.

I love Ricky Gervais, so I'm relieved that Dana Stevens and I can still be friends.
PS - Glenn, I've, erm, tagged you...no obligations...sorry for the sly self-promotion.

It's always fun to read the snob's view of popular culture.

I hated Gervais' Office, though Extras remains entertaining.

Damn, Bill...it is indeed true, I had no idea. I'll accept the tag. It might take a couple of days, though...

No rush, Glenn. Your list should be really interesting.
I remember reading an article by Washington Post literary critic Michael Dirda in which he confessed to never having read "Don Quixote" or any books by Don DeLillo, among others. I've never read "Quixote" either, and Dirda has since caught up with DeLillo, but I found the confession fascinating. I'm hoping you have at least one film on your list that I've seen, so I can say, "Oh, I've seen that one. It's a pretty good movie, you oughtta check 'er out."

Did that man just say he wants to fuck Tea Leoni? Sorry, I mean, did that man just say "it's no Ugetsu"?

Hey, someone's got to, since David Duchovny's not up for the job.
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! I WENT THERE! BURRRRRRRNNNNN!

David Duchovny's not up for being "Ugetsu"? Well, to be fair, who among us is?
