From WInchester '73, Anthony Mann, 1950. Of course.
Posting's usually light on the weekends, and it's likely to be lighter still on this one, always a favorite in the Kenny household. Enjoy, all.

It's a favourite in the Russell household too. And this one is particularly a favourite for Mrs. Russell, as it's going to be the first time in fifteen years (the last five of which she's been present for) that Tom won't be watching "1776" on the 4th.
... because he's watching it next week for a live-tweet.

This coming 4th of July also happens to be the 100th birthday of Gloria Stuart.

Happy 4th to all. I will be doing a lot of reading, a lot of movie watching, and, if I have anything to say about it, not much else.

Speaking of reading, here's something else to read. A very short q&a with Robert Christgau: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2010/07/robert-christgau-says-goodbye-to-the-consumer-guide-an-exit-interview.html
