Is that from the new All-Day set that came out in July?

It is indeed, Tom.

Maybe you should watch one short each time you watch a feature? This might make for some odd pairings, but then, we like odd pairings.

Whatever you do, watch Mighty Like a Moose. It's.... indescribable. I was lucky enough to see it in a cinema with an audience, but even on DVD, it slays.

Yes, I do know "Moose," which is on an earlier Kino collection of Chase shorts. Just immaculate—a masterpiece of slapstick choreography, both physical and cinematographical. And, in some sense, a thematic precursor to Rupert Holmes' "The Piña Colada" song. What more could you ask for?

I'll have to get this set when I can scrounge up some cash. Chase is one of my favourite silent comedians-- along with Langdon (who also got a nice set from All-Day, highly recommended) and Bowers (who is beyond-beyond-beyond magnificent).

My fave Chase (so far) is LIMOSINE LOVE, which I saw at a film fest. Somehow Charlie ends up with a naked woman in his car--on his wedding day--and of course her angry husband is Edgar Kennedy. It's hysterical.
